A Little About Me

My name is Evelyn Bennett, and I’m the woman behind Evelyn Mayfair. Fashion has always been something I truly enjoy, from choosing beautiful pieces to putting together outfits that make women feel comfortable and confident. I have always believed that getting dressed should feel enjoyable, not complicated. I love simple, feminine styles that can be worn again and again and still feel special. Over the years, I have learnt that the best pieces are often the ones that fit naturally into everyday life. Whether it is something for lunch with friends, a holiday, a family occasion or simply a normal day, I want our collection to feel easy to wear. I personally enjoy looking for pieces that feel elegant without being over the top. Most of all, I want Evelyn Mayfair to feel like a shop where women can browse at their own pace and feel welcome.

How Evelyn Mayfair Began

Evelyn Mayfair began eight years ago with a simple idea: to create a place where women could find beautiful, wearable fashion without having to follow every new trend. I wanted to build a collection around styles that feel feminine, comfortable and timeless. What started as a small idea slowly became something much more meaningful to me. Every season, I still enjoy looking through new pieces and thinking about what our customers would actually enjoy wearing. I pay attention to the little things, from the fit and shape of a blouse to how easily a dress can be styled for different occasions. The shop has changed and grown over the years, but the feeling behind it has stayed the same. I never wanted Evelyn Mayfair to feel distant or overly formal. I wanted it to feel personal, friendly and easy to shop from, just as I would want it to feel if you were visiting me in person.

After eight years, I still feel very grateful every time someone chooses to shop with Evelyn Mayfair. Every order, kind message and returning customer means more to me than you might realise. Running the shop has given me the chance to continue doing something I genuinely love while meeting so many wonderful customers along the way. I hope to keep doing this for many more years, discovering new styles and continuing to improve the collection. My aim is not to make fashion complicated, but to offer pieces that women can feel good wearing in their own way. I want every customer to feel looked after and comfortable asking us for help whenever they need it. Evelyn Mayfair has grown because of the people who choose to support it, and I never take that for granted.
